Canterbury Legal must be recused because the firm's prior involvement in advising on and effecting the assignments and PPSR registrations central to the plaintiffs' claims places its conduct and advice directly in issue and creates a real likelihood of contentious evidence from senior firm members, such that allowing them to continue would impair the integrity of the judicial process and public confidence.
