    On the available evidence and weighing conflicting experts, the court accepted the infectious diseases expert's opinion that the appellant's leptospirosis was probably the substantial and effective cause of his subsequent chronic fatigue syndrome given the uninterrupted progression from a documented work-related leptospirosis, absence of prior CFS symptoms, and lack of alternative explanation; accordingly the review decision declining entitlements was quashed and the ACC decision set aside for the period in question.
