Medical evidence established post-operative nerve entrapment caused by infection following the 1998 Pfannenstiel incision produced neuropathic pain; that injury was caused by the treatment and, although the appellant had pre-existing susceptibility to pain, that underlying condition did not wholly or substantially cause the injury, therefore the condition qualifies as a treatment injury under s32 and cover must be granted.
