Leave to appeal was dismissed because the Cameron formulation correctly captures the subjective elements of the offence and requires no reconsideration, the trial judge's conduct did not prevent the applicant from advancing his defence nor cause a miscarriage of justice, and the directions on the out-of-court statement were orthodox and sufficient.
