The plaintiffs lacked standing as persons aggrieved under s86 IA 1967 (per Gay v Bruns); the Insolvency Act 1967 applied by transitional provision; s34A and the statutory scheme permit the Official Assignee to dispose of property without convening a creditors' meeting; the Official Assignee properly evaluated the claims with counsel and the 2011 assignment for 7.5% was reasonable and lawful; the appeals are dismissed and costs awarded to the Official Assignee and Mr Lawrence.
