Interest entitlement is governed by s371(1) so interest can only accrue for periods on or after 1 July 1992, and s252 deems WINZ payments as weekly compensation so interest is payable only on the net arrears actually payable to the claimant under s114; accordingly ACC's calculation of interest from 1 July 1992 on the net sum after refund to WINZ was correct.
