Medical evidence (occupational history by Dr Beacham and later ultrasound showing full thickness supraspinatus tear) established that a specific traumatic event occurred on 4 October 2001 causing the rotator cuff tear; AFFCO had not obtained sufficient particulars or diagnosis before declining cover, therefore the appeal is allowed and cover is granted for the identified injury.
