The Court held that the Court of Appeal erred in imposing a rigid prescriptive sliding scale for guilty plea discounts; guilty plea credit must result from judicial evaluation of all circumstances (including timing, strength of the prosecution case and remorse), applied after a provisional sentence is reached, and the guilty plea component should not exceed 25% in general; the appeal is dismissed.
