Police were entitled, as bailees of necessity and under residual executive authority when acting to preserve property at an accident scene, to take possession of and open the pouch for the dominant purpose of safekeeping and inventory; that conduct was lawful and reasonable and did not breach s 21 of the Bill of Rights Act and the drugs discovered were admissible, so the appeal is dismissed.
