PICKERING v R SC 52/2012
- Citation
- SC 52/2012
- Court
- Supreme Court
Leave to appeal was dismissed because the contested expert scarring evidence was properly admissible in the circumstances (and in any event would inevitably have been admissible), no untoward prejudice arose from the prosecutor's change of course, the applicant failed to demonstrate an issue of general or public importance or a substantial miscarriage of justice, and the remaining grounds (summation on inferences, prosecutorial conduct, and new evidence) lacked merit.
