The court held the respondent is entitled to costs on an actual and reasonable basis and that the claimed fees of $22,815 (counsel $13,815 and solicitor $9,000) are fair and reasonable with adequate narration; the applicant was ordered to pay the debt subject to the statutory demand by 28 April 2023 and in default the creditor may apply to put the applicant into liquidation under s 291(1)(a).
