The court cancelled the imposed home detention and substituted concurrent sentences of 16 months imprisonment under s 80F because the original end sentence of 16 months imprisonment was appropriate and the defendant had been in custody since shortly after the home detention order; the court nevertheless granted leave under s 80I to apply for conversion to home detention if the defendant can promptly secure a suitable supervised address, while warning the practical likelihood of success is low.
