The court was satisfied that reasonable attempts at personal service had been made and that the proposed alternative methods (email, delivery to former wife's address, postal to last known address, affixing to the property, and SMS) were likely to bring the s119 notice to the respondent's attention; accordingly personal service was dispensed with and substituted service in those specified manners was ordered, but an order for future notices was refused as circumstances may change.
