On the balance of probabilities the court found the ethylene glycol causing the claimant's injury originated in the cab of truck DT 283 during her employment; multiple drivers of that truck had EG in their blood, no non-work source was identified, and section 7(1)(a) is satisfied even though the precise mechanical escape route was not established, so the respondent's grant of cover stands.
