Conversion by the receivers was established but appellants failed to prove market value for most of the bulbs at the date of conversion; the usual market-value rule applies but the evidence did not establish a realisable market beyond forced sales by the receivers; therefore only proven loss relates to proceeds of identified sales of bulbs belonging to appellants and a further limited hearing is ordered to determine provenance of sold bulbs and appropriate deductions for harvesting and sale costs.
