The Family Court's orders were affirmed because the evidence showed significant parental dysfunction and lack of effective communication such that a primary base with the mother and significant time with the father (5:9) and schooling at the local Maungatapu School best met the children's welfare and best interests; there was no evidential basis to displace those findings for equal shared care or to order transfer to Bethlehem College.
