The High Court held the District Court did not err in exercising its sentencing discretion: the 20% guilty plea credit, 10% previous good character credit, and other discounts were within permissible bounds given the plea timing and surrounding circumstances; home detention was not manifestly excessive after applying the permissible discounts to the appropriate starting point; the protection order remains in place absent the complainant requesting cancellation.
