The principal's suspension and the Board's conditional continuation were unlawful because the evidence did not satisfy the objective reasonable grounds required by s14(1)(a) and less drastic measures were available; the Board's condition that the haircut be to the principal's satisfaction was unreasonable; and the school's hair rule is void for uncertainty and therefore breaches s72 as contrary to the general law.
