The Supreme Court has power to consider and vary suppression orders via established informal procedure and relevant statutory provisions; s199C does not exclude the court's inherent power to make orders protecting fair trial rights; given the real risk of prejudice to a fair trial the non-publication order pending final disposition of the trial was justified and proportionate and the application to vary it was dismissed.
