The weight of contemporaneous imaging, subsequent imaging, operative findings and independent CAP expert opinions established that the rotator cuff pathology was on a background of chronic impingement and intrinsic tendinopathy and not causally linked to the April 2010 accident; temporal proximity was insufficient to rebut the evidence of degenerative disease, therefore the need for surgery did not arise from the covered injury.
