The revocable licence terminated on the licensor's death on 24 January 2012, the defendant became an unlawful occupier from that date, and under the strict user principle the plaintiff was entitled to mesne profits at the market rent of $350/week ($50/day) for 814 days, totalling $40,700, plus costs to the plaintiff.
