The Court found the applicants' prior professional services were minimal, no PWC personnel who had provided services to secured creditors would participate in the liquidations, and there was no real risk to the applicants' independence or ability to act effectively; accordingly the Court exercised its power under ss280 and 286 to permit the applicants to act as liquidators and granted leave to commence the proceeding by originating application without notice.
