Application for interim orders was declined because, although plaintiffs established a serious question to be tried, the balance of convenience and practical consequences favoured allowing the National Meeting to proceed: interim orders would create an immediate and problematic governance vacuum given statutory expiry of terms, internal Council processes could address many issues, the Court would be better assisted by outcomes of the meeting, and alleged irregularities could be remedied or set aside after a full hearing if necessary.
