The appeal was dismissed because the appellant failed to prove on the balance of probabilities that occupational exposure to deer dander caused or materially contributed to the deceased's idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis; the specialist respiratory opinions and pathological findings indicating IPF/UIP of unknown aetiology outweighed occupational specialist opinions and rendered causation only a possibility, which is insufficient under s30.
