Regulation 9(6A) confers on the Director of Legal Aid the statutory power to enforce a costs order in favour of an aided person, and 'enforce' is to be read broadly to include instituting taxation proceedings and subsequent execution; however, if taxation proceedings are taken in the name of an aided person who has died, those proceedings cannot continue without leave under Order 15 (or appointment/consent to represent the estate), and the Director's remedy is to obtain that leave or to commence fresh proceedings in his official name.
