The court accepted the Official Receiver's report and submissions that the 2015 gratuitous transfer constituted a transaction at undervalue aimed at evading creditor claims; the bankrupt failed to produce independent evidence to rebut the Receiver's case or to prove lack of interest, and therefore the court exercised its discretion to freeze the bankrupt's bankruptcy period for 18 months starting 13 August 2021 and awarded costs of HK$25,000 payable immediately.
