The Court affirmed the sentence of 16 years and 8 months as correctly reached by applying the tariff cases, enhancing for the international element and allowing a one‑third guilty plea discount, holding that remorse, personal hardship and participation in Fr Wotherspoon's campaign do not constitute effective mitigation for importation of a large quantity of hard drugs and that recognition of the campaign is for the executive.
