The trial judge made specific credibility findings after comparing evidence, accepted the complainant PW1 and found PW4 corroborative; he gave rational reasons for rejecting the defence witness (including exaggeration of intoxication and inconsistencies); minor discrepancies among prosecution witnesses did not undermine the overall reliability of the identification and account; intoxication is not a defence to the offence charged; accordingly the conviction was upheld.
