The Court held the disputed Law evidence was admissible under the Ahern/Oei principle as circumstantial evidence to prove the existence of a conspiracy and the identity/role of a co-conspirator, not for the truth of out-of-court assertions; the trial judge gave clear limiting directions which removed any unfair prejudice, and therefore admission did not warrant overturning the conviction.
