- HCMA1492/1989
The Magistrate's factual findings that the appellant solicited and arranged prostitutes, quoted prices, turned on pornographic material and dealt separately with two independent police agents supported the permissible inference that the premises were used mainly for organising prostitution under s117(3); those facts also established control/direction raising the s137(2) presumption that the appellant lived on the prostitutes' earnings, which was not rebutted on the evidence, therefore convictions were upheld.
