The Court dismissed the appeals and refused leave to amend because the defendants were barred by prior procedural rulings and admissions from challenging the quantum, the trial judge's factual findings that the plaintiff had proved the indebtedness were not plainly wrong, the proposed amendments were late and prejudicial, and the statutory stay from the 1st defendant's belated legal aid application was properly lifted given the lack of satisfactory explanation and the 2nd defendant's continued representation.
