The conviction is upheld because possession of the stolen items shortly after the burglary, coupled with the judge's adverse credibility findings, supported the verdict; the 18-month sentence for the immigration offence was appropriate given prior identical offences and was not excessive; two months of custody are to be excluded under s83W Cap.221.
