A conviction involving dishonesty is never spent for the purposes of seeking employment, registration or admission as a solicitor, trainee solicitor or employee of a solicitor; section 53(3) LPO therefore constitutes a disqualification/prohibition within the meaning of the ROO so that the rehabilitative provision does not apply in that context.
