Although the Court has the power to hear separate appeals together where just and convenient, the Appeal Committee refused the applicants' directions because the appeals arise from distinct facts, leave to appeal in these cases had not been granted, the Wong Chi Fung appeals were ready for hearing on 16 January 2018 and would be unacceptably delayed by consolidation, and there was no demonstrated necessity or prejudice to justify vacating an already ready hearing.
