On the balance of probabilities the respondent's repeated assaults, controlling conduct (including obstructing the petitioner's attempt to work), jealousy and continual quarrels constituted behaviour which, when assessed objectively and then from the petitioner's subjective standpoint, was unreasonable to the petitioner and established an irretrievable breakdown of the marriage; decree granted.
