Mother's medical evidence was insufficient to establish inability or life‑threatening risk in travelling to Hong Kong; her travel to Shanghai shortly after the fall undermined claims of incapacity; because her credibility is likely to be hotly contested and she is the only direct witness on critical events, the deposition must be taken in person in court; consequently the application for VCF was refused while the application to take deposition before a Master was granted.
