- Court
- Court of First Instance
- Case number
- HCSA7/1984
Section 12(2) of the Small Claims Tribunal Ordinance does not require the Attorney‑General personally to sign the claim forms; a duly authorised officer may sign as agent and subsequent authorisation amounted to ratification. Therefore the adjudicator was wrong to dismiss the claims for lack of personal signature and the appeals are allowed and judgment entered for the amounts claimed.
