Where de facto concubines accepted by the man's wife and recognised by his family were subsequently accorded legal rights by PRC law after 1949, those unions constitute unions of concubinage within s13(2) of the Ordinance even though not lawful marriages; therefore Mr Sung was Madam Chus husband for the purposes of s2(2)(b) and the plaintiffs estate claims succeed and letters of administration are to be granted.
