- Court
- Court of Appeal
- Case number
- CACC461/1985
The Court held that notwithstanding some inconsistencies, the complainant's evidence was sufficiently reliable to support the blackmail convictions; evidence including Lai Ka Wing's testimony and the 4th Defendant's conduct sufficiently established his membership of and role assisting management in the triad branch; and the Training Centre Order was an appropriate rehabilitation-focused sentence for the juvenile given his background and the nature of the offences, therefore the appeals were dismissed.
