Section 30A(10)(b) requires notification to the trustee when a bankrupt leaves Hong Kong; failure to notify or failure to return on a date/period specified suspends the running of the relevant automatic discharge period for the duration of the absence until notification of return; the provision is mandatory, independent of s30A(3)/(4) and not confined to permanent departures, but absences of less than one day do not count.
