The court granted permission for an out-of-time appeal and allowed the appeal in part: although the original 45.8% reduction was already generous, the applicant's post-sentence assistance to Customs produced tangible prosecutorial 'fruit' (resulting in arrests and convictions), and on that basis the applicant was entitled to further credit so that the total reduction reached 50%; accordingly the trafficking sentence was reduced from 13 years to 12 years while the concurrent 20-month sentence for handling proceeds was maintained.
