The original sentences were manifestly inadequate and wrong in principle because the judge accepted unsubstantiated low admission figures and reduced custody by reference to fines; on review the Court substituted heavier custodial sentences and larger restitution orders to reflect the gravity, proven scale and need for deterrence: D1 custody 3 years, fine $150,000, restitution $750,000; D2 custody 1 year, fine $50,000, restitution $100,000.
