The application for leave to appeal was refused because the judge had correctly applied the stepwise sentencing methodology, properly identified and applied enhancements for aggravating factors (including use of a minor and quartermaster role), had regard to the totality principle when structuring concurrency and consecutiveness, and any comparator arithmetic error was immaterial to the sentencing decision; the aggregate sentence of 12 years 10 months was not manifestly excessive.
