The magistrate held that the substitute SPRM officer present satisfactorily answered court queries so the absence of the original investigating officer did not invalidate the application; timing and registration of the remand application meant detention of OYDS1 and OYDS2 fell within the 24‑hour limit; on the basis of nexus to the investigation (including alleged RM8 million transactions) and specific investigative needs the court granted remand for three days for OYDS1 and OYDS2 to allow searches, seizures, forensic analysis and further inquiries.
