The trial judge's finding that the appellant rebutted the presumption of knowledge and was an innocent carrier was supported by contemporaneous statements, unchallenged expert evidence on internet romance scams, consistent testimony and absence of suspicious conduct; the Court of Appeal improperly substituted its own assessment without cogent reasons and misapplied Duis Akim; therefore appellate interference was not warranted and the acquittal must be restored.
