The agreement is a licence because its unambiguous language repeatedly and expressly grants only a licence and disclaims any legal interest; alternatively an alleged lease would fail because no fixed term was specified and the purported lease was not registered as required by the National Land Code (s221(3)), therefore the licence could be validly terminated and the plaintiffs entitled to vacant possession subject to ordered compensation for buildings.
