    After performing a maximum evaluation of the prosecution evidence the court found material inconsistencies in the child complainant's accounts, significant investigative omissions and absence of supporting corroborative evidence; those defects created reasonable doubt and meant the prosecution did not establish a prima facie case, therefore the accused was discharged and acquitted.

    Applying the maximum evaluation test to prosecution evidence the court found material contradictions about where and in what condition the exhibits were found, insufficient corroboration that the accused had exclusive control/possession or knowledge of the drugs, and a broken/unexplained chain of custody; accordingly the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case under Section 12(2) DDA and the accused was discharged and acquitted at the close of the prosecution case.
