Section 13(1) SOSMA bars bail for security offences and the only exceptions are the three specified categories in s13(2) (persons under 18, women, sick or infirm) subject to the proviso excluding offences under Chapter VIA Penal Code and Act 770; Section 388 CPC is displaced by the specific SOSMA provision; the term 'woman' is not read to include men; the applicant's medical condition (GERD and related complaints) does not amount to 'sick or infirm' within s13(2)(c) to justify bail; accordingly the bail application is dismissed.
