The Court struck out the Plaintiff's claim against the 1st Defendant because there was no privity of contract or contractual nexus between them, the Plaintiff failed to establish the statutory elements for a quantum meruit claim under s71 Contracts Act 1950, and the Plaintiff failed to show the necessary elements of unjust enrichment; the claim against 1st Defendant was therefore obviously unsustainable and suitable for summary dismissal under Order 18 r 19(1).
