Section 151 applies to cancellation determinations under s146 and is permissive: it permits but does not compel disclosure for the purposes listed; an RPO may, consistent with s151, impose limited and reviewable protective measures to manage safety risks and thereby facilitate tendering of evidence, but an RPO cannot give irrevocable undertakings that would bind courts or unlawfully fetter statutory discretion; refusal to give the specific irrevocable undertakings sought in this case did not breach natural justice and the appeal is dismissed.
